I. What information constitutes personal data?

IV. What personal data do we process for you as part of the application process?


Bozhikov & Vatev Law Firm processes the following categories of data about you as a job candidate:

Language knowledge and skills

Computer literacy.


The categories of data listed are those provided by you as part of the selection process. In addition, the Law Firm may check for publicly available information about each of the candidates, as well as for information that the candidates themselves have published on the Internet (e.g., on LinkedIn).


V. For what purposes do we process your personal data?


We process your personal data only for the purposes of selecting staff for the position and concluding an employment contract or a contract for permanent employment under Art. 77 of the Bar Act with you (depending on the position you are applying for).


VI. On what legal grounds do we process your personal data?


Bozhikov & Vatev Law Firm processes your personal ones on the grounds of Art. 6, para. 1, letter “b” of the GDPR, namely: because the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before concluding a contract with you.


VII. To whom may we disclose your personal data?


In order to carry out its activities and fulfil our legal obligations, we will disclose your personal data only to lawyers with whom it has a contract and with whom it is possible for you to co-work in the event of your employment in order to an assessment can be made in the ongoing selection.


VIII. For how long do we store your personal data?


We store your personal data for up to 6 months unless you have given your explicit consent to storage for a longer period.


After the expiration of the storage period, your data will be deleted, and if you have provided us with originals or notarized copies of documents certifying the required qualification and experience for the position, these documents will be returned to you, for which a handover protocol will be signed.

1. Right of access to your personal data: you have the right to receive confirmation from us whether personal data about you are being processed and, if so, access to your personal data.


2. Right to correct personal data: If you find that the personal data we process about you is inaccurate, you have the right to ask us to correct the relevant data.

Right to delete personal data: in certain circumstances, such as if your personal data has been processed illegally or you have withdrawn your consent (if the processing of personal data is based on consent – for example, if you consent to data processing for a longer period), you have the right to request that we delete your personal data.


4. Right to limit the processing of data: if you have doubts about the accuracy of your personal data or have objected to our legitimate purpose of processing your personal data, you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data until a solution is found.


5. Right to object to the processing: if you doubt our legitimate interest in processing your personal data, you have the right to object to such processing for reasons related to your specific situation, and we will comply with such a request.


6. Right to data portability: if your personal data is processed electronically or automatically, you have the right to request that we provide your personal data in a machine-readable format directly for transfer to another data controller you specify.

X. Other information


The provision of information in connection with the selection for the position for which you are applying is mandatory for the purposes of your participation in the selection. The lack of this information leads to an objective impossibility to participate in the selection and, accordingly, to an impossibility to enter into contractual relations with the law firm.
